Due to continued growth, Transfield Services currently has an opportunity for an experienced Area Manager, working on our WA Housing contract in Karratha. Supporting the Contract Manager, you will provide Operational, Technical and Contractual direction to staff and subcontract resources. Key accountabilities for this position include: Ensuring service delivery meets the Quality, Safety and Customer Service standards.
Management and coordination of resources, both staff and subcontract, to achieve the contract objectives as details in the Performance Management Framework.
Ensure service delivery complies with HSE, Risk Management and Quality Assurance Systems to meet contractual and statutory obligations.
Promote and manage effective relationships with Client base, internal support groups and the Operations team.
Identify new opportunities and provide advice to the planning and submission process.
Prepare quotations for projects and variations, ensuring value for money for Housing WA.
Ensure strategic management of indirect costs (staff, fleet) to provide cost-effective results.
Coordinate resources to balance operational and commercial outcomes.

Have a Blue/White Construction Induction Card.
Trade, Building, or Facilities Management experience.
Proven Management experience.

This role is responsible for providing support to Operations in the provision of data management of Work Order Authorisations. Accountabilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Establish effective workplace relationships.
Mediate and issue authorisations to Subcontractors based on work requests.
Liaise with the Client and Subcontractors to make sure variations to the work order are managed, approved and recorded into the database in a timely manner.
Responding to customers’ needs and facilitating resolution in a timely and customer-focussed manner within the Contract and the agreed service standards.
Utilising internal information systems in an effective and timely manner to ensure all data is recorded correctly to support work order and knowledge management initiatives.
Provide support to the Operations team in management of and reclaiming for all rejected planned work orders.

Provide clear and regular communication with the team, Regional Manager and staff as well as client contacts.
Initiate action to prevent occurrence of non-conformance and implement solutions. Report and act on any non-conformances that appear in the process and implement corrective action.
Ensure that own actions and those of the team working on Transfield Services contracts/projects are directed towards a positive customer outcome.
