Part of the Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertiliser Division, CSBP Limited is one of Australia's major suppliers of chemicals, fertilisers and related services to the mining, industrial and agricultural sectors, and has locations in metropolitan and regional Western Australia, as well as Victoria.
The role
Reporting to the Manager Laboratory Services, this is a pivotal role in our NATA-accredited laboratory where you will be coordinating staff and resources to ensure accurate and timely reporting of results.
You will:
Perform routine and complex physical and chemical analyses;
Evaluate and develop alternative equipment, instrumentation or analytical techniques to ensure efficient provision of analytical services;
Implement quality control measures and critically evaluate results;
Develop and deliver competency based training to laboratory technicians and plant operators in analytical procedures;and
Develop and maintain documented procedures and records to ensure compliance with ISO17025 and NATA accreditation requirement.
The person
You will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Applied Science, or a relevant degree
Relevant sound experience in a laboratory role
Demonstrated experience in using modern analytical procedures, including classical and instrumental techniques.
Ability to work effectively within a dedicated team
Meticulous attention to detail
Sound interpersonal and communication skills
