The company are a market leader with a global capability who operate in three main regions: the Americas, Asia Pacific and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). Their Perth operation has gone from strength to strength with a strong focus in the mining division. With a portfolio of work that currently includes work with the mining giants as well as large JVs, the demand for their engineering services is especially high. You’ll have a high level of technical expertise in Project Engineering within mining projects and specific experience in NPI. You'll be used to Australian codes and standards and be familiar with the expectations of high-profile client organisations as you deliver camp accommodation, administration buildings, rail car workshops, building services, civil infrastructure including roads, drainage and water services and all other associated elements. Your knowledge will have grown following your involvement with relevant industry projects and your standards will help to achieve outstanding results in terms of delivering projects on time and within budget. You'll ideally have either a mechanical or civil/structural engineering degree, although other disciplines will also be considered. Hourly rates for this role are from $120 to $130 per hour. About the Role: 2 x Health and Safety Advisors required immediately for a 2-3 month contract be based in WA on a FIFO 19/9 rosta. You will be responsible for HSE on Rio Tinto exploration sites around in WA. You will be required to support the whole project and site staff ensuring Health and Safety maintains the key focus throughout the company and on projects. This role is a stepping stone to more senior roles across the organisation. You will implement, maintain and monitor compliance of safety systems. Working on the Mining sites you will be responsible for ensuring all H&S regulations on site are ahered to. Responsible for the construction of the mining camps. Providing advice and support where needed.
