This role will give you the opportunity to work with a broad range of equipment within our Merchant Operations business including exposure to hydro, gas-turbine, steam turbine, solar and wind generation assets. Your duties in this role will include: Providing condition monitoring expertise in electrical plant and systems Performing diagnostic tests and specialist investigations to identify root cause of issues Supporting the development, review and improvement of AGL Merchant Operations condition monitoring strategies and programs Setting up and maintaining the electrical and mechanical oil testing databases and software and reviewing oil results. As the ideal candidate you will have tertiary qualifications equivalent to a minimum of Diploma of Electrical Engineering and preferably have a current electrician's licence. Unique role 3 month + contract Dynamic organisation Operating as part of the Asset Management Business Unit, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the management of the corporations public lighting, electrical and CCTV infrastructure, which is predominantly located in various public areas around Adelaide. Key responsibilities include developing, implementing and reviewing the total Asset Management plan and current Capital Works Program, planning and programming inspections, conducting audits of assets, developing service standards and implementing manage agreements with internal and external service providers. This position requires somebody with extensive experience in all aspects of asset management, particularly in relation to public lighting and electricity distribution. You must also have a good understanding of asset management systems and competent project management and implementation skills. Tertiary qualifications are desirable but not essential.
