Our client is a listed, mid tier mining producer who currently operate local and international assets and have a well defined development plan. As they continue to further increase production from their WA assets, they now require an additional Mine Accountant to join the finance team on a FIFO basis.
Job Description
Reporting to the mine site General Manager and to the corporate office in Perth the position of Mine Accountant, will be responsible for the provision of all financial reporting and management analysis for the asset to support the optimisation of operations and commercial decision making. This will see you lead financial and management reporting, the preparation of the annual budget, strategic planning, rolling forecasting, capital expenditure reporting and preparation of the life of mine model.
The Successful Applicant
You will have significant experience in the mining industry and preferably in a similar role. In addition you will be CA/CPA qualified, with strong budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting and analysis experience. You will possess strong communication skills and be able to build excellent working relationships with operational management and corporate. In addition you will also be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills, combined with a good commercial acumen.

The Successful Applicant
You will possess a degree qualification within electrical engineering, ideally with post graduate qualifications in project management, and or maintenance management. You will have a minimum of 8 years experience within a heavy industrial operation. You will have developed skills in project management and will have a successful track record in delivering HV power and complex electrical CAPEX projects from the conceptual and design phases straight through to execution and handover. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will also be expected to have a thorough understanding of operational maintenance and reliability engineering principles. You will have developed leadership skills and the interpersonal skills required to drive projects and change across both technical and non technical stakeholder teams.
