Job Description
The role of Driller is to provide drilling expertise in the recovery and presentation of samples through safe, cost effective and professional practices;
· Work with assistance from offsider
· Set up of drill rig and bed down, operate air leg, insert split sets & set up hydraulic hoses
· Set up operating consul
· Add/remove drill rods, augers and other down-hole tools
· Visual inspection of rig, pre start checks and manually grease up rig
· Diamond Drilling and depth monitoring
· Collect, lay out, pack, label and despatch samples and cores
· Maintenance on drill rig
· Comply with all OH&S
