Reporting to the Mining Superintendent you will provide effective safe leadership that is focused and innovative to meet mine and organisational targets. You will be one of two Supervisors per crew to supervise all aspects of production, from overburden to coal mining.
You will hold a NSW Open Cut Examiner’s Certificate of Competency and be responsible for the health, safety, environment and community awareness of your team.

The key accountability of this role is:
Improving systems and tools to develop current planning methods. Increase the reliability of the plant and minimize downtime. Run scenarios based on the LOM to provide strategic insight to the Management Team. Lead the mine planning team to develop daily, weekly, monthly and annual plans to the specified standards. Ensure all drill and blast plans adhere to industry standards and blast patterns are created, planned and reconciled as necessary. Validation of data for and delivery of monthly reports and presentations to key stakeholders.

Minimum five years planning experience. Supervisory experience in an open-cut mining operation. Computer skills in Mine Design and Scheduling. High level of competence in the use of mine planning software.
