After receiving the appropriate training, you will be promoting public transport by providing customers with face to face customer service on metrocard and service changes information, and also provide the public with brochures and information about public transport services. You could be scheduled to work at anytime across 7 days, so excellent penalty rates can also apply. Starting your shift at either a bus or tram stop, or a train station, you will also travel on these services assisting customers on board. Multi trip tickets are provided for you to get to and from work as well as during the travels you take on during your shift. You will receive a roster of work shifts including the possibility of 6am starts and late finishes and some split shifts. Safety is of paramount importance and you will work in pairs for evening shifts. To be considered for these casual vacancies, you should have the following attributes: Be reliable and punctual Fit enough to be on your feet for a minimum of 3 hours per shift An enthusiastic and confident personality Clear communication skills and able to build rapport quickly Patience and empathy to assist in explaining to the public Flexibility across 7 days from early morning to late evening As our client will communicate with you directly about scheduling shifts, you must have a mobile phone and access to email.
